Chrysanthia Gaza is a multi-passionate, 7x certified Master Self-Care Life Coach who helps overgiving women set boundaries, rest & choose themselves without guilt.
I'm not here to offer you a formula. I'm here to offer you what I've lived - and what you do with it, is yours to decide.
I was born in Jamaica 🇯🇲, the eldest of four.
Before I understood what it meant to have a childhood, I understood what it meant to hold one together. By the time I was sixteen, my youngest sibling was born. By my final year of high school, I was standing at a fork most girls my age never have to see: help my mother raise the two younger ones, or hold onto whatever was left of becoming myself.
I chose what was modeled for me by my mother, and by her mother. I chose everyone else.
I was taught - the way most eldest Caribbean daughters are taught - that rest was laziness. That asking for help meant weakness. That being strong meant being silent... So I stayed silent. I stayed strong. Even through childhood trauma and abuse. Just like my mom and her mom.
What no one told me was that I could put down the role - the responsibility, the holding-it-all-together - without putting down the people I love.
My mother used to say, "One day, you'll get your inheritance from your father."
What she didn't realize was, she was already handing me one.
Every time she pushed through exhaustion, denied her own needs & sacrificed her peace to hold us together - she was passing down an inheritance too. Not money. A blueprint of burnout, self-abandonment & silence dressed up as strength.
I carried that blueprint for years before I understood it was never mine to keep.
Then I chose to stop following it. Not by walking away from my family - by refusing to pass the pattern forward.
I didn't have a map for what came next. I had a pen, a lot of blank pages, and a refusal to hand this down one more generation.
So I did the work - the real, slow, unglamorous very un-instagram-able self-care kind. I earned eight certifications, not to collect titles, but because I lived through every single one first and needed proof it was possible on the other side: Self-Care, Mindfulness, Empowerment, Boundaries, Confidence, People-Pleasing Recovery, Therapeutic Art, and Journal Therapy.
That last one found me almost by accident. Long before I knew it had a name, I was already doing it - writing my way through what I couldn't say out loud, using the page as the one place I didn't have to hold everything together. When I discovered Journal Therapy was an actual certified practice, I got curious. I wanted to know: was this something I'd never done, or something I'd been doing all along without knowing what to call it? Turns out, it was both - new language for an old survival tool, and a few techniques I'd never touched that changed how I use the page today.
Each certification is a place I had to rebuild myself, not a class I sat through.
Now I use everything I found on that road to help other first-gen, eldest daughters walk theirs - women who are determined not to repeat what raised them, especially as motherhood enters the picture. Women ready to make rest, boundaries, and softness the new blueprint, instead of the one they were handed.
Your healing isn't just for you.
It's for the women who came before you, and the daughters - born or unborn - who will carry what you build forward. Every time you choose rest over resentment, or a boundary over burnout, you shift what continues.
As women we don't just carry emotion. We carry memory. We carry eggs. Our nervous systems, our patterns, our recovery from burnout - these don't stop with us. This isn't just empowerment. It's epigenetics.
You are the cycle breaker.
You are not lazy for resting. You are not selfish for saying no. You are not broken for needing help.
As a Projector, my role isn't to push you - it's to see the pattern clearly, name it, and walk beside you as you choose something different. I recognize the systems you've inherited, and I help you question them, one honest choice at a time.
I crawled out of generational burnout and people-pleasing with my own two hands. I'm not asking you to trust a method I've only studied. I'm asking you to trust a road I've actually walked.
Because when you heal, you don't just feel better. You become unrecognizable to the woman who once settled and you become the blueprint for women after you.
You already know how to take care of everyone else. This is where you learn to include yourself on that list.
